Diamond Dragon

I JUST got this dragon as a failure by breading  music and winter while tryin to get a ice age dragon ( it's to hard to breed ;-;  and I was like HOLY CRAP then like YES I DID IT I GOT THE DIAMOND DRAGON

In latest event you are directed to breed Madagascar and Inuit for the Spanish dragon.  Got a mist and did a rebreed.  Got 44 hrs!!! Yes I got a diamond.   Did a sec rebreed not that I am complaining about the diamond,  have been trying for a year.  I got a second 44 hrs. No Spanish but 2 diamonds?? 

I have been  trying for diamond dragon for months.... & the moon dragon.....with no luck...:-( :-( :-( :-( :-( .  I'd really appreciate any suggestions.....please help

I've gotten such great advice here, so I thought I'd ask now before I get frustrated.

I'm up against a level 17 Glasswing. My best fighting dragons are Warrior King level 10, Metal level 12, Chakra level 10 and Landworm level 10. I also have a level 10 Dark Crystal who took down Warden.

Metal is licking his wounds in the Healing spa bath and I don't know what to try next.

I got a diamond dragon. Habitat contains 20.000 great! But only for one dragon. Takes a while.

Tried breeding with it, results are disapointing. Any tips why this dragon is special, and how to use it?

I bought limited time package of unicorn dragon that was 75% off. I don't have diamond dragon though. My question is: if I start breeding with unicorn dragon, are my chances higher to get a diamond/diamond hybrids or the same?

I will be using Metal and Goodwitch and I need to know if there level plays a part in being successful getting a Diamond?

After 3 unsuccessful attempts I came to these boards and it seemed that purple had luck with lower level Mist combined with Wild. I don't have Wild, so I went with the only one I had with the same elements: the Devil I got on the wheel the other day. So 1st try Mist 4 and Devil 4 resulted in Firestorm. Debated making a change in the combo or leveling one or both up but decided to just try the identical combo one more time. Lo and behold, try number 2 had produced a 44 hour egg! I'm so excited, just thought I'd share. Good luck dragon breeders! Thanks to those who shared success stories involving Mist which put me on my path to success.

I'm working on breeding a Diamond so far this is how it's gone.

First I looked for a combo with a limited number of possibilities to maximize my chances at each stage. The combo that seemed best which included several dragons I didn't have along with Diamond and low breeding times except for Diamond was Metal+Goodwitch(Only 10 possibles with a max of 17 hours and commons with only 5 & 12 hours).

I had a Goodwitch, but not a Metal dragon.

I bought a Light dragon for 360,000 I believe it was to start. I already had a Winter dragon. I chose those to breed the Metal as it only had 5 possibles and I only had the Winter prior to that of those possible(Note: Light + Water works as well, but my Water is in storage). I took a few tries, but I got a Metal dragon out of it and make sure my Evolution Temple was free for when it hatched.

Once I got my Metal dragon so far the Metal+Goodwitch results have been:

Winter, Cloud(a new one for me), Love (Note: I still need 4 out of the 10 possibles, so here's hoping..)

P.S. I believe I got my Goodwitch through Winter+Fire(It also can breed a few other nice combos as well).

I know there are about 200 million list of breeding combos that people have used to get the diamond dragon. As oh so useful as those are I have yet to see one for finding the best breeding pair. So I am going to start one, not just for the pairs but the mechanics as to why they are good pairs. For example here is the breeding pair I have found to have the least amount of combinations- Olympus X Lily = only 17 possible combinations.

yes it's 44hrs wohoo!!! i got it after i activated my temple for 2nd time :D finally.. 

So I'm level 105 and finally got a Diamond today.  I bought the diamond temple a while back (prob around level 80) in an effort to get a Diamond but no luck in the 7 days.  Figured i wasted my $$ which I guess I kinda did.  So about a month ago I started trying Metal + Goodwitch since it only has 7 possible outcomes...one of which is a Diamond.  I've breed that combo over 50 times... no Diamond.  Today I saw that there was a sale for the Diamond temple - 100 Gold.   It appears it's only for a new Diamond Temple, because the recharge was still listed at 300 gold.  So I sold my Diamond Temple and bought a new one for 100 Gold.  Went to the Breeding platform - Metal + Goodwitch again...  BOOM!  First try with new Diamond Temple, 44 hours is now counting down.  YAY!
