I've been playing DS since last Christmas (when the Elf dragon and the Snowman dragon was there), and I witnessed DS change dramatically within this year (Well, this may not be a long time for some of you, but I experienced a lot during this period). At that time, everything seemed fine to me, where seasonal dragons were released as limited dragons, and ordinary dragons permanent dragons. At least that was what I thought. After this year's Valentine's Day, things started to change. First, there was the increase in the consumption of food in the dragons. But we can still avoid this by opening up DS in the original version, where food prices were same for all dragons. Feeding a lv1 dragon at that time only requires 5 food. By the time when the four-leaf was released, this method failed and we had to spend a lot more to feed our dragons. After a period of time, TL made the quetzal limited, which marked the beginning of the "DS frenzy". Permanent dragons, especially the super rare ones, expired one by one, following by the continuous release of new dragons. The new dragons seemed to be very disorganized and ugly (especially those imitating real-life animals), mythic, cosmic, fairytale, stone, night, rainbow...every category only has about 3 dragons. We players had a hard time catching up the pace, rushing around to breed the limited dragons while trying to get the new ones. Eventually, some players, including me, gave up the chase. I gave up the dream of owning every dragon, and chose to breed those that I really wanted. Yet the frenzy did not stop. TL started released things exclusively for IOS, such as crafting, sending dragons for quests, the storage, and the battle arena. Numerous emails have been sent to enquire and protest, but every time the same mechanical feedback was given. I am an Android user, and I deeply understand how the other Android users feel. Two words to conclude this: This sucks.
Recently, TL has been expiring dragons again, but I believe, it is done for good's sake. They are expiring the "random dragons" released during the "DS frenzy" (probably to better organize and categorize present dragons), and have given Android users the opportunity to breed the crafted dragons which were once the privilege of IOS users. DS has now risen from its dark days, and I hope it will continue to develop towards this direction and not commit its mistakes again.
