Story:
Dragon Tales: A Warm Welcome[]
- It was another snowy winter and the Frozen Dragon huddled over a feeble campfire. Despite his name, the Frozen Dragon wasn't particularly fond of the cold but was too ashamed to be seen looking for warmth.
- Living up to expectation of being a cold dragon was tough. While everyone else got to stay inside and cozy up, the Frozen Dragon felt like he had to stay out in the snow.
- It was a particularly frigid night and the secret little fire that the Frozen Dragon built was puttering out as it fought against the heavy wind and snowfall. As the flames finally dimmed into glowing coals, the Frozen Dragon decided enough was enough. He wanted to be warm!
- The Frozen Dragon wandered through the dark night as the snow continued to fall. A nearby village always started a massive bonfire at night for all the dragons to lay around and sleep; that's where he would go!
- While the Frozen Dragon was fairly adept at moving through the snow, the severity of the storm had intensified! There was a full blown blizzard and the Frozen Dragon had lost all sense of direction!
- Without knowing which way to go, the Frozen Dragon just picked a direction and walked straight. It felt like hours had gone by and there was no sign of the warm village. He shivered and flopped down under a tree. He felt like he was destined to be cold forever!
- The Frozen Dragon must have fallen asleep under the tree because the next thing he knew he was being prodded by a soft hand. Clearing his eyes to see in the dark, there stood a short dragon who was covered from head to toe in warm clothing.
- The Bundled Dragon couldn't understand how the Frozen Dragon survived in such freezing temperatures. Frozen explained that he had the ability to withstand the cold, but would prefer to stand by the big bonfire in the village and be warm.
- The Bundled Dragon laughed at the Frozen Dragon. He explained that it wasn't a bonfire that lit up the village at night, it was a dragon!
- Bundled Dragon took Frozen's hand and led him through the blizzard. Not long after, the two emerged from the woods and came upon the village. At its center danced a Warmth Dragon! She radiated such a soothing warm glow that, even at such a distance, the Frozen Dragon felt at home. The two dragons walked down together to warm up with some newly found friends.
