- The Caretaker Cottage was introduced around the same time as the 2012 Olympic games. It is the first decoration to cost gold instead of coins.
- As of December 14, 2012 the Caretaker Cottage could be crafted in the Spell Shop for 1
and 4.
- The Caretaker Cottage was previously obtainable by crafting but was removed from the Spell Shop on March 6, 2018.
