Dragon Tales: Guiding Fates
- The cards were placed and the future was set - all that was left was for a dragon with the power of prophecy to interpret them, and an island of dragons to play it all out.
- We start this adventure as no normal quest does - at the end, or at least an End Dragon. In this case, the eerie End Dragon heralded the culmination of the events of the past which would lead the Island into the Future. To this end, the End Dragon was perhaps a bringer of change.
- The End Dragon was pondering why is it ordained that she must be stuck with finishing everything. The seasons, the days, the weather, the parades - she only ever seems to see the end of life's wonders. Well she decided she was going to turn fate on its head!
- She sought to change her future so she may see the future for once! She grabbed a deck of the Tarot and drew the cards in a pattern that defied fate. She flipped the first card and it revealed something strange indeed...
- Suddenly from the card shot out a Charioteer Dragon! As if he had been held from within the card he released in a magnificent display of silver and smoke! This silver Charioteer Dragon flew on out and into the skies where the great mysteries awaited.
- He flew in circles and loops and in every which way leading the constellations themselves in a beautiful sight! This dragon dared to make its own fate having been released from the cards and it flew on towards its destiny.
- The End Dragon became saddened and fell under a cloud of gloom. Why was it that this dragon had the courage to make its own path in the world but she felt cursed to only live at its end? She spied towards the sky one more time to spot the summoned dragon.
- But when the End Dragon looked up to the sky the Charioteer Dragon was nowhere to be found... or so she though. Suddenly he appeared behind her and offered to flip her next divination card...
- A bright light shined from the card, now flipped to reveal the Star. This Star Dragon came out gently and with grace, unlike the Charioteer Dragon. It sat down and looked ponderously at the End Dragon.
- It asked why she had been feeling so blue and pointed to the skies. "The stars have no end and no beginning, they simply burn on in the skies" came from the Star Dragon as she flew up and it was at that time the End Dragon knew that she had heralded the beginning of a bright future for the Island.
