Illusion Dragon Information[]

Baby Form Juvenile Form
Illusion Baby Illusion Juvenile
We may never know what the shape-shifting Illusion Dragon truly looks like. Caretakers from across the Dragon Islands all have their own descriptions. Some say it´s a colossal, scaly green beast, while others claim its a minuscule, pink, ant-like creature with wings. It´s rumored that Illusion Dragons only reveal their true form to particularly loving Caretakers. Illusion Dragons can be particularly crafty with their pranks on Caretakers. Sometimes, they'll change their form into a Diamond Dragon, just to change it back when the Caretaker gets excited. If that ever happens, spray Eliteleek Juice on the deceiving dragon; it will force them to transform into another shape.
Adult Form Epic Form

Adult Illusion Dragons are less flippant about their craft, avoiding pranks to concentrate their efforts on the protection and preservation of other dragons. These dragons form Guilds which scare off poachers, predators, and other dangers to their Island. Since they're able to transform into any terrifying dragon or beast at will, they ensure that they are taken seriously. Epic Illusion Dragons perform feats unimaginable and incomprehensible to Caretakers. Ancient Kings, Sultans and Pharaohs used to present Epic Illusion Dragons to their guests as a display of the monarch's magical power. Epic Illusion Dragons of yore performed such acts as the Aztec Tomb, the Disappearing Yacht, and the Sword of Destiny.

The Illusion Dragon is obtainable:

  • By purchase at the market for 1,500 Gold.
  • By breeding two dragons that collectively contribute Black and Purple to the type pool. If a parent has the appropriate minor types, missing requirements may also be added to the pool, even if neither parent has the originally required types. Minor types that have been split from other minor types can also contribute their component types to the type pool.
  • DISCLAIMER: When attempting to breed the Illusion Dragon, you may get other offspring instead. Check the Breeding Calculator to view all of the possible results of combining a particular pair of parents.

Parents Behavior[]

The Illusion Dragon has special behavior when it is used as a breeding parent. Unlike dragons with only basic types, it will obey the following rules:

  • When the Black type is alone in the pool, it will add pure dragons of its component types (Blue and Purple) to the list of possible outcomes, but it will not split into its component types. When Black is included in the pool along with one or more other types, the Black type can split into Blue and Purple. However, if it is split, then Black is no longer in the pool for the duration. Thus, the presence of Black in a pool will either add the Black type if it does not split or the Blue and Purple types if it does split. There is one exception to this rule, and that is when both parents possess the Black type. In this case, Black can contribute both itself and its split colors at the same time.
  • Although the Black type can split into Blue and Purple for breeding purposes, it still only counts as one type. This is important when considering the number of types for type-amount-dependent dragons such as the Diamond Dragon. Breeding a Forest Dragon with an Illusion Dragon only counts as three types: Green, Black, and Purple.

  • The Illusion Dragon's design is based upon the Magic Dragon's, although there are differences between the two.
  • The Diamond Dragon is mentioned in the Illusion Dragon's juvenile information.
  • When evolved from Baby to Juvenile form,Illusion Dragon's the two other eyes permanently open .
