  • Well, I used the method of buying Gemstone Prairie and selling it over and over again to get the last three ranks done today. You buy it for 300,000 coins and sell it for 200,000 coins. So you don't lose much coinage on the deal. You get 10,000 experience points on each transaction though. So it doesn't take long to rank up three times doing it that way. Now that the level building is out of the way, I can just concentrate on getting the dragons I want and feeding them. Good Luck, HAG1 and happy playing!!!

    • More land has been a problem as long as I play. We got more, but we got more dragons too! That's why I don't have more then 1 of the same dragons and why I don't hurry to get more. If they don't have better fightingskills they are kind of useless deco too...

(The land on Triopasi's page isn't based on anything! There's land I do have missing aswell on the left part...)

    • The only land missing on my DS island is that island space on the right hand side. All the other space is accounted for by habitats, farms, nests, and all that kind of items. Those don't register on the map. We've discussed that and also tried to discuss a way to count the dragons in your Stable. Couldn't come up with a way to count the dragons because TL/S8 doesn't account for the different levels of the stable, like mine is upgraded to hold 40. But there is no way to know that because there is no coding for that in the app.

I know that at some point, I'll have to make a decision to start weeding back to one dragon per type. With around 900 different dragons and more being added all the time, I'll run out of room no matter how much space they give us. I'll see how long I can go before that time comes though.

      GL/hp!!!

  • I go to other people's islands to visit. When I see an Apple product, they have the added bonus of another whole area to develop. It is based on an arctic area and it looks great. Come on Team Lava, let's get coding so it works on Android too. I'd really like to get started on building out another area and maybe even getting one of those awesome gigantic dragons that roam that area. Maybe we need some kind of petition put out that might influence them. I'd sign it.

    • Hi Bossman1959!

I have the Arctic Isles since I started playing in 2013, and at first I thought it's great, but the fun ceases soon.

You can only have 6 habitats (2 of each type), so even if you would want to have more dragons, you can't place them. By now I bred all the dragons available (18 in total, 3 of which are Diamond hybrids), and you need a awful load of coins to build the farms and grow the food to develop them to epic - it's much more expensive than even the most expensive food on the warm dragon isles (100'000 coins for 300 food, e.g.). Because only if you evolve 9 unique of them to epic, you will free the giant dragon Glacius from his iceberg, but you can't do anything with him apart from that - he will be free and fly around, and that's it. Also, there is almost no decor that you can place (stone path, frozen tree, Ice Dragon Sculpture and a Cave), so you can waste your maps to free a lot of space to do NOTHING with it.

I guess TL had great plans with this area, but somehow they never came to develop this thing to its full potential. There's also a mine entrance on the lower part of the islands with which you can't do anything, it just looks interesting.

So the fun is over, and I ceased to play on this part of my isles for a year or so, until the Leaderboards came up and people on the Wiki reported that breeding, feeding and evolving on the Arctic Isles also counts towards your points. So now the usefulness is why I breed, feed, evolve and rightaway sell dragons there (since I can't have more than 18 in total).

So if you go for a petition, also add "further development of the Arctic Isles" to this.Β :)

      Best,

      Julie

    • I forgot to add, this part of DS is especially buggy. I lost already two of my dragons (a Blizzard and a Polar) - they never came back from the evolution temple. They are still listed in my breeding den menu, funnily enough, but I can't click on them, and the space in the habitat was free, so I added other dragons. Also there is the strange 3-winged Sabretooth that never got fixed, and if you ask NightLullaby, she has a very peculiar mirroring or duplication of her Divine that suddenly also lives on a slot in one of her arctic habitats, and she's afraid to sell it in case it might also dissapear on the normal dragon isle... So much for the great Arctic Isles on IOS.Β ;)

    • Maybe it's not such a good idea but I'd like to try it and see. I already have some problems and I'm only at level 155. It's hard to purchase decor and habitats without getting booted. No problem when I buy dragons though. Certain other things will cause me to get booted too. So the Arctic Isles section having problems fits right in with the other things that are going on right now. No petition but I've voiced my opinion!!!

  • I would like to thank Knj00 for helping to set up my profile. I went to your profile and really liked the layout. You mentioned that it was available to be used or adapted. I proceeded to use what I liked to make my profile page. Through trial and mostly error, I finally got it to work the way I wanted it to. The biggest problem I had was with the list of dragons for IOs systems. I kept coming up with errors so I searched for the Android version. I found it and figured out which editor to use to get it loaded correctly. It's been smooth sailing for a couple of weeks now. So, I'm officially saying it's done. So fingers crossed that nothing breaks.

      Hi,

I'm confused about the expansions. My dynamite is getting close to 25 but that side of the mine is boarded up and I'm not able to use those dynamite. Sometimes I let them build up for food but never this many. Anyway, the game won't let me enter and I know I haven't reached my limit. At one point, the game was placing my habitats in the water but then one day it just moved them to an expansion. Now, it won't do that either?

      Thanks,

      DB

    • If you are positive that you have not completed all the expansions, yet your Mine is boarded up you should contact support (support@teamlava.com). However, it is always a good idea to try uninstalling and reinstalling the app first to make sure that doesn't fix the problem. Before doing that make sure you have set an ID and password for your account.
