Quetzal Dragons are born with all the knowledge and experience of every Quetzal Dragon who lived before them. Despite this, their personalities are unique; they pull different lessons and personality traits from the millenia of information available to them.
The first Quetzal Dragon lived atop a mountain overlooking two civilizations for a thousand years. From his perch, he witnessed the humans below experience periods of great happiness, and great despair. This wealth of perspective is passed down to every Quetzal Dragon.

Because Quetzal Dragon have so much collective experience with humans,they make wonderful friend for people.They're able to react to minute changes in a person's mood,like comforting them at the first glimpse of worry.
Epic Form Quetzal Dragons know more about humans than a history book, and as a result are amongst mankind's greatest allies. While they cannot speak, they can predict the course of human events, and do what they can to direct us towards happiness.
By breeding two dragons that collectively contribute Diamond and Green to the type pool. If a parent has the appropriate minor types, missing requirements may also be added to the pool, even if neither parent has the originally required types. Minor types that have been split from other minor types can also contribute their component types to the type pool.

Parents Behavior[]
The Quetzal Dragon has special behavior when it is used as a breeding parent. Unlike dragons with only basic types, it will obey the following rules:
When a breeding pair contains a total of two types - Diamond and a non-minor type - you can get any breedable pure dragon of that type or any corresponding Diamond hybrid that is currently available.
When a breeding pair contains Diamond and at least two other different types, Diamond is then treated as its own type under normal rules and any possible offspring using that pair of parents can emerge. The Quetzal Dragon is the third hybrid dragon with the Diamond type.
The Quetzal Dragon is the only diamond hybrid to be a limited dragon.
The Quetzal Dragon was first removed on May 2nd 2013, then brought back for a limited time from July 18th to July 25th 2013. It was then re-released along with other expired dragons December 24th through December 31st 2013.
The Quetzal Dragon was added back to the game permanently on January 11, 2014.
The Quetzal Dragon was the first non-seasonal dragon to turn limited.
The Quetzal Dragon's design is based upon the Serpent Dragons's, although there are differences between the two.
There was a typo for the in-game description of the epic form. It said "the can predict" instead of "they can predict". This was fixed when the dragon was re-released.
The Quetzal Dragon's name is a reference to Quetzalcoatl, a feathered serpent deity that has been worshipped by many different ethno-political groups in Mesoamerican history.
