Virtue Dragon Information

Baby Form Juvenile Form
Virtue Baby Virtue Juvenile
Unlike most other dragons, Virtue Dragons are born with an innate sense of right and wrong. They value morals above all else and choose to live in seclusion, away from other dragons. They will only cohabitate with dragons and dragon keepers who they believe to be of the highest moral fiber. Virtue Dragons are very selective with whom they choose to associate. Often, they will covertly observe a new possible roost for days, seeing what good deeds its current inhabitants perform throughout the day.

While Virtue Dragons are very virtuous, they are also a bit on the arrogant side. When one chooses a new home, it does so in a very prominent, almost ceremonial fashion. As such, having a Virtue Dragon choose to live on your island is considered to be a great honor. Epic Virtue Dragons do not need to be as vigilant in promoting moral behavior since the mere presence of an Epic Virtue Dragon actually causes moral behavior! Top dragon scientists believe this is due to an aroma that these dragons emit, which causes those exposed to it to become more reminiscent of a time in their lives when they were more virtuous.

The Virtue Dragon is obtainable:

  • Rarely by breeding a dragon that provides the Red color with a dragon that provides the White color.
    • DISCLAIMER: Breeding a dragon that provides the Red color with a dragon that provides the White color may produce other offspring aside from the Virtue Dragon. To view all the possibilities, check the Breeding Calculator.
  • By breeding a pure Pink color dragon with anything. Currently, the only eligible pure is the Virtue Dragon.
  • By breeding two pure Diamond color dragons together. Currently, the only eligible pure is the Diamond Dragon.
  • By breeding two parents that collectively possess only the Pink and Diamond colors.
  • By purchase at the market for 600 Gold20px.

Special Breeding Rules

  • The Pink color is created by combining the Red and White colors.
  • You cannot get a Pink hybrid dragon when the actual color Pink is not present. For example, you can get a Flower Dragon by breeding Forest and Virtue, but you will never get it from breeding Love with Forest.
  • Pink can split into Red and White. However, if it is split, then Pink is no longer in the pool for the duration. This means that a combination that relies solely on the Pink color split to introduce the presence of Red and White cannot produce a Pink hybrid that also needs the Red or White colors. So, breeding Love and Virtue (color pool: Red, White, Pink) can produce Justice or Tiny, but breeding Virtue with Virtue (color pool: Pink) cannot.
  • Although the Pink color can split into Red and White for breeding purposes, it still only counts as one color. This is important when considering the number of colors for pure Diamond color dragons such as the Diamond or Infinity dragons. Breeding a Virtue Dragon with a Fruitful Dragon only counts as three colors: Pink, Green, and Yellow.

Notes

  • The Virtue Dragon is the 2nd non-Diamond-type single color dragon that can be bred without using basic dragons. Ex: Breeding a Fuzzy Dragon with an Firestorm Dragon can result in a Virtue Dragon because the correct colors are present.
  • The Virtue Dragon resembles the look of the Dream Bird from Monster Story, but moves like a Magic Dragon.
  • The Virtue Dragon was released on December 18, 2012, along with 4 Pink hybrids.
