With featherlight bodies and long, flat wings, Kite Dragons spend much of their life soaring through the air, wafting in the wind. However when Kite Dragons are young they have trouble navigating through strong gusts. Their parents need to keep a watchful eye on them or they'll find themselves "migrating" to a new Dragon isle downwind.

Kite Dragons are so sensitive to the wind that they hardly need to move their wings to remain airborne. However, this also means that they need to stay close to the ground - and preferably shielded from the wind - during particularly stormy days.
